I began my teaching career at a private school in the Rio Grande Valley where I taught elementary school for one year.  Then I moved to Houston and taught at Galena Park Elementary (5th grade) for five years.  After taking time off for my children, I returned to teaching in the  Clear Creek ISD (NASA area) district.  There I taught fourth grade for three years.  After that we moved to Corpus Christi where, happily, I was hired by Calallen ISD. I taught third grade at East Primary and then moved to my current position of 6th grade ELAR teacher at Calallen Middle School. Go 'Cats!

I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from James Madison High School.  After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a degree in History.  For several years after that I worked in Campus Ministry with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. Then I returned to Houston and began my teaching career.  I am currently married and the proud mom of two grown children, Joshua and Tiffany.  I love teaching sixth grade.  Some other things I love are doing music and my church and playing with my cat, Smokey.
