I started my teaching career at Magee elementary as a student teacher and paraprofessional. I was fortunate to be hired as a sixth grade teacher for Reading and Writing at Calallen Middle School. This past year I was asked to join the ranks as an eighth grade ELAR teacher. Prior to public education I taught adults in Health and Safety courses.

Hi! I am originally from Harlingen, Texas but I moved to Southern Wisconsin as a young adult. I went to the University of Wisconsin and Cardinal Stritch University where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Science. I worked in health care administration until I felt lead to go into teaching. In 2012 I went back to school to obtain my teaching certification. I am certified to teach all subjects in grades 4 - 8. I also have a certification in Special Education grades EC - 12 and an endorsement in English as a second language. I recently graduated with my Masters Degree from TAMUCC - Go Islanders!

I love being a Wildcat! I truly believe that Calallen ISD is a special gem in South Texas. It is built on a strong legacy of quality education with a commitment to excellence where all can be successful. I try to demonstrate that commitment to my students every day.
